GLP-1 out-of-fridge date calculator
Pick your pen or vial and type when it left the fridge, or when you first used it. You get the last day its label allows at room temperature.
Use by = the day it left the fridge + the label limit in days
This adds the label's limit to the date you type. It can't tell how warm your pen got. If you're not sure, ask your pharmacist.
Worked example
A Zepbound single-dose pen leaves the fridge on Monday, Nov 2 at 9:00 AM. Its label allows a total of 21 days at room temperature, so it's good until Monday, Nov 23 at 9:00 AM.
An Ozempic pen first used on Nov 2 lasts 56 days after that, in the fridge or out, so until Dec 28.
How the math works
The page adds the label's limit in days to the date you type and keeps the time of day. Pens that count from the first shot use that date instead. KwikPens and multi-dose vials count both ways, and the earlier date wins.
The single-dose limits are totals. If a pen went back in the fridge and came out again, the days out add up; this page assumes it stayed out the whole time. It doesn't know your carton's expiration date, so check that too.
It runs in your browser. Nothing you type leaves this page, and nothing is saved.

Questions
How long can Zepbound be out of the fridge?
The single-dose pen and vial: a total of 21 days at up to 30°C (86°F). The KwikPen and multi-dose vial: 30 days at room temperature, and once opened, no more than 30 days after the first shot (Zepbound label).
How long can Ozempic stay out of the fridge?
Before the first shot, the label says to keep the pen in the fridge. After it, the pen lasts 56 days at 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F) or in the fridge. The single-dose syringe can stay out up to 28 days (Ozempic label).
What if my pen got hot?
Each label here gives a top temperature of 30°C (86°F), and most say to keep the pen away from heat and light. If yours got hotter, or you're not sure, call your pharmacist before you use it.
Can I put it back in the fridge?
The Zepbound, Mounjaro and Trulicity labels give a total number of days at room temperature, so the days out add up. The Ozempic, Wegovy FlexTouch and Saxenda pens count from the first shot, in the fridge or out. For anything the labels don't cover, ask your pharmacist.
Can I use it if it froze?
No. All six labels say not to use it if it has been frozen.
